DEAREST MARGARET...
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for being faithful to the Lord. What a blessing you have been & continue to be to me. Keep speaking the name of Jesus. Keep sharing His love & grace wherever you go. It is truly all about Him. Amen!
As I was driving to the book store in Portland OR to see you last week I was so excited. I have seen you & been given the opportunity to meet you several times in my life. I will never forget the first time. I was driving to Jesus North West 1988 with my dad who was playing Immigrant's Daughter. He turned to me and said, "Sarah, you are going to love Margaret Becker. She is little like you and she loves Jesus." That is all it took! After your concert the next day my mom took a picture of you and me that is still one of my favorites. After that picture I got heat stroke and was sick for most of the rest of Jesus North West. The last time I saw you was about 2 1/2 years ago when you came to Salem Oregon for a worship conference. I remember coming up to you after you spoke that morning. You sat and prayed with me and I was touched by the Lord through you. At that moment everything in my life was up in the air and I was once again trying to figure out God's will for my life. Little did I know about two months later I would start a relationship that would lead to marriage which is a whole long story in it self. Anyway! I was so excited last week to see you again. I was just going to enjoy listening to you and then I was going to go home. I could not believe I was the first person you came up to after you were done singing at the book store. I knew you did not remember my name but you did remember my face. Thank you for taking the time to sit with me. You blessed me once again! You touched my life and encouraged me in the Lord. How refreshing it was to hang out with you. I wish I could spend the afternoon with you often. That evening I took Luke to the Calvary Chapel to see you again. I wanted to bring Luke up to meet you but by that point I could not keep my eyes open any longer. Getting up that morning at 2:30 for work had me feeling weak and exhausted. Next time! Luke really enjoyed seeing you too.
You are a dear sister in Christ. May the Lord bless you. May He shine upon all that you do. This life is an adventure. I am learning to take one day at a time. I cannot wait to get to heaven but until I do I want to keep living by faith. When I do get to heaven I hope my mansion is by yours. Also! Next time you come to Oregon let me know, I would love to help if I can. I am glad I was able to help this last time by giving you the name and number of Calvary Chapel Salem.

A BIG APOLOGY! It's been like a "Greatful Dead" Lyric... "What A Long Strange Trip It's Been!" How R-U Doin' "Lon-Giland Lady"? I guess it's been 12 years down the road.. I don't know how I got here in Hoosierland.. But, God is doing the "Jacob" on me! Oh to be more like "Isreal"! Don't fret '50' in 2009.. I HIT IT THIS YEAR (2008).. I still remember meeting Steven Curtis and You in the back room at the 1987 GMA's.. Scott Wesley Brown said I should meet the two 'kids' in the Sparrow family... I really just want to thank you for having been a peer that kept this DJ a thinkin' and focusing on what we are about! Seem liked I ran into you more, when I was at the Florida Way-Fm, then when in Nash-Vegas and you on the road... God is doing a new thing and Way is even trying to see if I could return to their wonderful network... I remember that 'punk haircut' you had at our Way-Fm 1988 concert in Fort Myers, Florida! Time flies, kiddo!
Hope to hear from Maggie.. Was it true, when you bought your house in Belleview, your Dad flew in (having never flown) and took the bus back to Long Island??? I think I remember you saying something to me and the late Mark Rider about that! And he got up on the ladder to look at the gutters and 'the crack of dawn' came shinning through? Life is fun... "Skipper T." getting his voice back after a thyroid kink... "Joyful Noise" on Sundays from 6 to 10 CT at www.wiky.com ... It's my old home.. I am being a true Bapt-i-Catholic.. Hey Margaret! We really enjoyed having you here at Lake Ann for the Ladies Retreat. Your music and your book have inspired me to start a Bibles study in my church for women. I have such a strong desire to "IGNITE" the hearts of women. Thank you for your passion for World Vision, your passion for music and especially your passion for Jesus Christ!

Good morning Margaret,
I wanted to tell you I read your book and really loved it.
It so resonated with my heart.
When I got to the part where you got all your goodies from Walmart and began to put down color and images on the pages I went YES!!!! I began a visual journal a little over a year ago, and through it God has been doing amazing things. I don't know if it is that I finally got to a place where I wanted God more than his blessings, or middle age contemplation, probably both. There is a quote I read and a verse that began a new chapter in my life. "The Second Journey begins when we know we cannot live the afternoon of life according to the morning program" (sorry I do not know who wrote it) AND "God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes" 2Sam 22:25 (msg) God is moving and doing new things!!!!!
