My daughter & I met you in Pittsburgh in the late 80's (1989 I think) right after we were both saved. We were both greatly impressed by your voice, your unconventional style, and your commitment to God. I, personally, was blown away by how that great big wonderful voice poured out of such a pettit lady. Your song "Innocence" helped me through some questioning times. Some memories are like the stones that you stand on while crossing a rushing stream. You can think back on them when things get rough and they reinforce your faith. Thanks for the footing. I just finished your book Coming up for Air. Because I have 3 kids, I won't be taking a month long retreat any time soon, but now I feel I don't need to. Every night as I drifted off to sleep reading your book, I felt like I was there at the beach with you. Thank you for this book it was good for my soul!!
